What is Bach Ma National Park?
Bach Ma National Park is a mountain rainforest reserve 40 km south of Hue, where a 16 km road climbs to the Hai Vong Dai lookout at 1,450 m. A day here means forest trails, clear lakes, a 300 m waterfall and lunch at the top. With a local guide you get more than the view: the right trails for your legs and the weather, and the story of the French villas.

Hai Vong Dai, the summit lookout
A stone path of about a kilometre from the end of the road climbs to the tower. On a clear morning you see Cau Hai lagoon, Lang Co and the Truoi reservoir at once.
Five Lakes, pools in the forest
A mountain stream drops through five clear pools linked by small cascades. The trail is short but rocky, with rope and ladder sections; from February to September you can swim.
Rhododendron Falls, a 300 m drop
The trail ends where the river goes over the cliff. Below, 689 stone steps lead to the foot of the falls for anyone who wants the full view, and the long climb back.

Questions people ask before booking
Is Bach Ma National Park worth visiting?
Yes, if you want forest, cool air and wide views rather than monuments: it is the easiest real mountain day from Hue. Be honest about the season, though — from October to January the summit is often in cloud and the waterfall stairs close, and the trail network is small next to the big national parks elsewhere in Asia.
How far is Bach Ma National Park from Hue?
The park gate is about 40 km south of Hue, roughly an hour by car, and the summit road climbs another 16 km from there. Da Nang is about 65 km away and Hoi An about 90 km, which is why many visitors fit the park into the drive between Hue and Hoi An.
What exactly is included in the price?
Private car with driver, a licensed local guide who speaks fluent English, hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere in Hue (and in Hoi An or Da Nang on the one-way day), park entrance tickets, a set lunch at the summit, and water. The only things not included are personal shopping and optional tips.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes — free cancellation up to 3 days before departure for a full refund, and free rescheduling subject to availability. Within 3 days of departure, 30% of the tour price is charged because the car and guide are already committed.
Can the tour be tailored for children, older parents or our own interests?
Yes — every itinerary can be adjusted. Tell us who is travelling and what you enjoy, and we will change the stops and the pace to suit. The walk to the summit lookout is easy; the Five Lakes trail is rocky and the 689 steps below the waterfall are optional, so less active guests can keep to the gentle paths.
How do I pay, and when?
Two ways: pay the full price online by card, or pay a 30% deposit online and the rest in cash on the day of the tour, in US dollars or Vietnamese dong. We can also send a secure payment link on WhatsApp. The booking is confirmed once the online payment goes through, and your pickup time and guide’s name arrive in writing.
How far ahead should I book?
A few days is comfortable in the busy months from March to August; at quieter times next-day requests often work. Message us and we will tell you honestly what is still open.
